Leaving out of Louisiana, the Sea Spray experienced a one-of-a-kind catch last week, landing a 1,149 pound, 11' 8" Mako Shark in the Gulf of Mexico. With a catch this large, one might wonder what could be done with all of that meat. Well, the charter group from Texas loaded the shark on ice inside a fish bag, and upon reaching the marina, they cleaned the fish and cut it into countless Shark Steaks.

The Sea Spray fishes out of Orange Beach, AL from March through mid-November and then fishes out of Louisiana from early January through mid-March. Specializing in tuna fishing, the Sea Spray goes where the tuna are.
